“We tell ourselves stories in order to live.” — Joan Didion
Our brains create narratives whenever they can. From watching clouds to observing strangers to the experience of having a meal, we invent stories so that we can organize information and make sense of the world.
When we listen to a story that engages us, more regions of our brain activate than if we were listening to statistics and facts alone. The excitement in our gray matter leads us to both retain information and form deep emotional connections.
A story may unfold or stage or screen, and it can also be found in each person’s individual experience. I am driven by the desire to find the story within each project and help bring authentic, sincere connection into the light. By examining all the small details, together we can uncover the big picture ideas that define your journey.
